First Day of Classes

Today began bright and early for me with 7 o'clock Mass (pictured below is the remnant of sunrise graciously saved for me by the clouds).  After Mass, I had my first class at UST: Theology 101 with Dr. Boyle!  He is an excellent professor, and I am quite excited for the rest of the semester in his class.

My next class was Music History with Dr. Schmalenberger, a small class (about 10 students) that promises to be challenging as well as lots of fun.  Brady Educational Center has the unmistakable feel of a music building; I can't wait to start studying some music!  (And I don't have to, given the homework load for this weekend. ;))

Between classes, a carpet cleaner and a contractor for Kleinman Realty came by and did some repairs on the house -- for those keeping track, they cleaned the study room carpet, fixed the light bulb by the back door, added a pull chain to the light in the basement, took a dead bird out of the basement, will fix our cracked bedroom window, and will send someone else to look at the fridge.  A good afternoon's work, if you ask me!

My desk:

Nature sighting: a large bird (falcon?) eating a rabbit in the yard!
