Weekend of Dramatic Music

Friday night: successful Freak Piano Blowout!  A good, weird, fun night. :)

Saturday night: I saw the MN Orchestra and MN Chorale perform Verdi's Requiem!  It was a fantastic performance of an amazing piece -- and that Dies Irae... !!!  It's all worth a listen, and I recommend that you look it up, but there's something about a live performance that just takes it to the next level.

(I even have a picture: )

Today was a little more low-key (though, in order that what was written in the title of this post might be fulfilled, I have definitely thought "Dies Irae!" on and off throughout of the day, and I also listened to some Les Mis).  I was able to do homework (supposed to use Mathematica to solve a problem, but I wrote a Ruby program to do it instead, which I think should count for something ;)), run to the bank (literally -- it doubled as my exercise!), and make a little key-chain-thing for my flash-drive:

Isn't it cute?  I think that the nail polish adds a lot, too. :)

Now, to see how quickly I can finish math and get to bed. :)  Hope you all had a great weekend!
