Technical First Day of Spring

...and Bach's birthday!

(Though as I write this, I realize that I never actually listened to any Bach all day: shameful!  I'll put some on right now....)

Okay, I'm back, with one of the Brandenburg concertos (spellcheck doesn't like concerti, though Google seems to think that either would be correct) playing in the background. :)  Apparently there's been some confusion about when Bach's birthday really falls, since he was born before the calendar reforms; quick explanation of that here.

This afternoon, I went with a group of students to the Dorothy Day Center, where we put together "snack packs": bags of chips, fruit, water, etc., from food donations they've received.

And Amanda, you''ll appreciate this -- it's on Erin's wall:

Marriage prep night at Mass; this was the line to get into the chapel:

Doesn't look too formidable, maybe, but just think about it: there was a line to get into the chapel (and again, I had scheduled a cantor who was hoping for a small congregation)!  She did a wonderful job, though. :)

Last night, I got to see the Saint Paul Ballet spring contemporary show:

Can't you sense the pre-curtain excitement? :)  It was a great show -- would have been worth seeing even if my sister wasn't in it. :)  But she was, which made it even more exciting, and danced beautifully; way to go, Amanda!
